Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka, who was born in Minsk (the capital of Belarus), is one of the children of Sergey. Sergey, her father (who died in the year 2019) was a ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th of 1998. There are 12 WTA titles in her career. This includes her Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. In doubles, she is an excellent player. She's taken home two Majors alongside Elise Mertens: the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. The year she was born, she was the winner of her both in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian teammate, and completed the Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairings had achieved this feat. The Belarusian rose from second place to third on the world singles ranking on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her highest rank was again achieved in January of 2023. In doubles however she pushed herself into first position in February of the same year following her victory in Melbourne and becoming the 2nd tennis player born in Belarus to achieve success in this area. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach from 2018, until the season came to an end in 2019 and then for a limited period at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was in a brief time as her coach between August 2020 and September. At the time of her retirement, she's been trained by her coach, Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams is her role as a model, and she is then Maria Sharapova.
